"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. " (Ephesians 2:4-7)
God is so good! He gives us what we need and so much more! I look back at our baseball career and see that He has protected and provided for us through it all.
When the ERA isn't quite as low as we would like it to be or the season ends too early, or doesn’t start, it's easy to forget that God is in control and still protecting and providing.
But He is and will always be. Sometimes it isn’t about what we want or how hard we try, but about fulfilling what God wants.
His favor is not about making all our dreams come true, but about glorifying God and about us being the pieces to the puzzle God needs to make the fabric of His kingdom.
He gives us what we need to make us more like Him. And sometimes that is hard to accept when it doesn’t match up to our own wants and desires.
In hindsight, it is awe-inspiring to see the tapestry of unmerited favor that God has bestowed upon our lives.
Prayer: God thank you for all your provisions. Please help me to trust in the tapestry you are weaving in my life.
